Raised between North East London and Beirut, Danny’s work is rooted in the lived realities of urban working-class life and shaped by a diasporic perspective. He creates bold, character-driven stories that centre underrepresented voices with thoughtfulness, visual flair, and bite.

He studied Human, Social and Political Sciences at Magdalene College, Cambridge, where he focused on urban marginality and social inequality, before completing an MA in Directing at MetFilm School in 2024. A former Footlights member and actor, Danny has worked professionally across film, theatre, and performance.

His debut short, Off-Licence, is currently on the festival circuit. His upcoming short, Stop Gap, made in collaboration with refugee charities, explores the realities of asylum seekers housed in UK hotels. He is also developing a slate of original film, theatre, and commercial projects through his creative brand Apparition.

Above all, Danny is drawn to stories with soul and humour, spotlighting communities too often spoken about but rarely listened to.

Danny is a British-Arab writer-director working across stage and screen.
